A privately held, diverse, and growing local broadcast organization seeking its next General Sales Manager in the beautiful upper northwest. Based in one market, this role oversees additional markets in the state, offering a unique opportunity to lead across multiple stations and communities.

The Role
As General Sales Manager, you will lead all revenue-generating efforts across broadcast and digital platforms. You’ll be responsible for building strategy, managing inventory, developing your team, and driving performance across multiple markets.
A key component of this role is a strong understanding of political advertising, including inventory management, rate card strategy, pricing, and makegoods, ensuring your team is positioned to maximize revenue during critical cycles.
You’ll also be expected to coach, train, and elevate your team, not just manage activity. This role requires someone who can demonstrate best practices in the field and teach them effectively.
What You’ll Do
- Lead all revenue operations including forecasting, budgeting, inventory management, pricing strategy, and goal setting
- Oversee political advertising strategy, including rate cards, inventory allocation, and makegoods
- Drive growth across broadcast and digital platforms, ensuring integrated solutions for clients
- Actively coach and develop your team through ride-alongs, client meetings, and hands-on leadership
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients and community partners
- Collaborate with news and content teams to create revenue-generating opportunities and sponsorships
- Create and execute sales promotions, events, and strategic initiatives
- Monitor performance, hold the team accountable, and continuously optimize results
- Serve as a visible leader in the community and within the organization
What We’re Looking For
- 2–5+ years of experience in a sales management role (TV, radio, or multi-platform media)
- Strong background in broadcast sales with a solid understanding of digital media
- Experience managing multiple stations or markets is highly preferred
- Knowledge of political advertising cycles, inventory, rate cards, and makegoods
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate a sales team
- Strong understanding of the sales process, pipeline management, and closing strategies
- Hands-on leader who leads by example, not from behind a desk
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
- Experience with OSI and Comscore is a plus
