After 37 remarkable years behind the microphone, a legendary voice has signed off, creating a rare and prestigious opportunity to step into one of the most iconic booths in the NFL as a Play-by-Play announcer. This new announcer will carry forward a storied legacy while bringing a fresh, dynamic voice to a new era of this football team. This is more than a role; it’s a chance to become the soundtrack of Sundays for an entire fan base.
Scope of the job:
- Independently prepare game notes and supporting materials necessary to deliver professional play-by-play services
- Maintain familiarity with team rosters, opponent information, league rules, and game-day storylines
- Participate in mutually agreed pre-broadcast production coordination necessary for execution of contracted services
- Provide live radio play-by-play narration for all contracted games (up to 24)
- Deliver accurate, timely, and engaging real-time game descriptions
- Maintain professional broadcast standards throughout the duration of each game
- Coordinate with the assigned color analyst and sideline reporter during live broadcasts
- Complete live play-by-play broadcast for each contracted game
- Participate in reasonable broadcast production meetings necessary for execution of the radio broadcast
Optional Additional Opportunities:
The person may be engaged to provide additional hosting, emcee, or on-air services at designated team events, including but not limited to Draft-related programming, training camp broadcast events, or season launch activities. Such services must be:
- Mutually agreed upon in writing
- Limited to specifically identified event dates
- Compensated separately or included in the contractor agreement
- Not ongoing or open-ended obligations
Qualifications:
- Prior professional play-by-play broadcast experience
- Demonstrated ability to deliver accurate and engaging live radio narration
- Deep understanding of NFL rules, strategy, and game flow
- Proven ability to prepare independently and meet broadcast deliverables
- Professional reputation consistent with high standards of sports broadcasting
- Ability to travel for contracted game broadcasts
Term & Compensation:
- Services will be provided under a defined seasonal agreement
- Compensation will be structured on a per-game or per-season fee basis
- Payment terms will be outlined in the contractor agreement
Independent Contractor Status: This position is classified as an independent contractor role
- The individual is not an employee of the NFL Team
- Is not eligible for employee benefits
- Is responsible for all applicable federal and state taxes
- Maintains independent control over preparation methods and professional workflow
- May engage in other professional opportunities consistent with contractual terms
