Television General Manager/Chief Revenue Officer
If you are a challenge-oriented leader in TV General Management with prior exposure to Spanish language media, this is an ideal opportunity. Our client, a national communications and multi-media company, is searching for a General Manager for their TV operation in an offshore market.
This operation has a top rated radio cluster, and on the TV side has launched a newly revamped news department, with additional added programming. There is access to strong support from the mainland for programming, production, and sales. The parent company has a new leadership team committed to winning and is not afraid to invest in the tools to do so.
The right candidate will be bi-lingual Spanish/English and have held the title of GM in local TV. We can consider an up-and-coming DOS from a major market who is ready to step into a GM role as well as a senior level manager from local media or network TV. This person must understand the lifestyle and business practices outside the mainland US. Full relocation is required and assistance will be provided.
We are looking for a manager with outstanding business acumen, the desire to become an integral part of the community, and a leader who can complement and grow the successful team in place. This person will have proven success at quickly building relationships both inside the building and all across the market. They will have a strong understanding of how the media sales process is conducted locally, as the majority of business is with local agencies. Finally, this individual should have a proven record of hiring and nurturing employees across all departments.
