Are you a current Local Sales Manager, Digital Sales Manager with spot TV experience, Senior Account Executive or even a General Sales Manager in a small market and looking to get away from burdensome layers of corporate management? This independently owned TV group is looking for their next great leader to help maximize revenue and share in one of their markets. This represents a huge growth opportunity overseeing 4 Radio stations and 4 TV stations.

An interested Manager must have experience working in small or medium sized TV markets and a proven track record of maximizing revenue, inventory, employee performance and training as well as have a desire to be a leader in the local community.

This position includes full health benefits and 3 weeks’ vacation time.

Job Duties and Expectations:

  • Develop and execute client focused advertising campaigns, utilizing traditional and digital media, to drive local, regional and national revenue
  • Manage inventory through pricing strategies that maximize revenue opportunities
  • Recruit, train and retain local multi-media account executives
  • Develop and maintain relationships with economic and transactional buyers
  • Establish and communicate local, national, regional, digital and political budgets for the local team and for the national rep firm
  • Coach and train the local sales team on selling systems, product knowledge, and market conditions
  • Work with the national rep firm in creating presentations that generate greater market shares on our national business
  • Interact and communicate effectively with other station departments including the business office, traffic, production and news

Qualifications:

  • Local or General Sales management at a broadcast television station or at least 5 years as a senior seller.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of pricing strategy, account management, and success in the digital and broadcast industries
  • Extensive knowledge of station traffic systems and how they work, preferably OSI.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Extensive knowledge of digital media, including how to position with television for OTT/CTV, search, targeted display, retargeting and social media advertising
  • Valid driver license and a good driving record
  • Must be willing to relocate
