This small market digital company is a sister company to a radio group that owns 24 radio stations and is seeking an experienced and innovative Digital Sales Manager.  The DSM is responsible for generating and growing digital marketing revenue.  The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in exceeding digital sales revenue goals.   The DSM will oversee multiple markets and both radio and pure digital AE’s and will work with the radio GM’s to create campaigns for local clients. The DSM will be the market’s expert on digital services and will work both independently and in conjunction with our established sales team, to achieve budgeted revenue goals in the digital marketing services area. The Digital Sales Manager will achieve these responsibilities by professionally and effectively selling our suite of digital marketing services/products with the objective of advancing client objectives.  The correct candidate must be able to produce strategies that are capable of growing advertising dollars.  Being creative while taking care of business is second nature to you. The DSM will report directly to the owner of the company.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for our digital revenue performance
  • Expert knowledge of all digital sales and marketing
  • Attend sales calls with existing sales staff to develop new accounts and grow existing accounts
  • Manage, engage and motivate a team of high performers and digital operations team
  • In addition to selling digital to existing radio clients, the DSM will also be tasked with developing non-radio digital clients
  • Achieve and surpass local revenue budget goals on digital
  • Be an effective educator and ambassador both internally and externally on the benefits of digital marketing
  • Establish and lead consistent, ongoing, productive communication relating to interactive sales and operations among station AE’s and sales management
  • Conduct educational forums and/or seminars for clients
  • Effective closer
  • Consistent Regional travel required

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of digital marketing or media sales preferred
  • Some sales management experience required
  • Significant knowledge of the local digital marketing services product offering and its effective use for clients
  • Motivated, enthusiastic, self-starter who is able to work effectively both independently and collaborating in a team environment
  • Effective communication and client presentation skills
  • Ability to interact with high-level decision makers
  • Ability to execute in an organization through collaboration and a consultative process
  • Excellent follow-up, strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales goals
  • Up to date on latest trends in digital marketing service industry
  • Resourceful, self-motivated and a skillful multi-tasker
  • Ability to manage account receivables for your book of business
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and ability to become proficient on in-house sales systems
  • Education: BA or BS in Business, Marketing, Advertising or Communications preferred
