Know who you are hiring!

  • Ask for past supervisors, clients or employees, committee members - someone who can verify the style of work & commitment
  • Ask for a minimum of 5 – you may not be able to reach all
  • Do not accept friends or family
  • Check on Facebook, Linked In, Twitter and other online social networks
  • Hire an outside source to do a credit or background check
  • If a recent grad, ask for professors, coaches, sorority/fraternity advisors
