According to Laurie Kahn, Founder/CEO of Media Staffing Network, with consolidation and multi-platform selling there are more and more opportunities and needs for talent with varied backgrounds and expertise. There is currently not a media specific site where all media professionals can converge to view opportunities across all platforms. With this site, it will be easier for employers to reach a larger audience and job seekers will have a wider variety of jobs to view.

The job board allows media companies to post jobs for free, but does not allow job seekers to post resumes due to confidentiality. Many passive job seekers are afraid to visit job sites where they are required to register or post a resume. Job seekers do have the ability to enter a database where they can be contacted confidentially if a job search arises that matches their qualifications. They choose if they are interested in pursuing that position or not. Job seekers contact the hiring managers directly for any posted jobs.

In addition to the job board, there are numerous free tools to assist both the employer and job seeker including resume and job description templates, interview questions, tips, etc. designed to make the hiring process a bit easier on all involved.
