Laurie Kahn Laurie Kahn, President

Laurie Kahn, President/CEO founded the company in 1993. After successfully placing people since 1993, Laurie has re-engineered the firm to primarily handle full-time placements in all media, in addition to specialized training in how to hire and retain more effectively.

Laurie has a strong passion to help people connect for the right job, thus has developed tools and practices to help make the hire right the first time. She has long been a proponent of multi-platform selling and urges clients to look at the skills and contacts of the person vs. what industry they have previously worked.

Laurie is currently involved with various industry associations and participates at career fairs and colleges to educate individuals about media career opportunities. She also conducts seminars targeting recruiting and hiring. In addition, Laurie has authored articles appearing in the Chicago Tribune, Sales and Marketing Magazine, Radio Ink, Continental Airlines Magazine and Inside the Minds “Staffing Leadership Strategies” to name a few. Laurie has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Crains/Chicago, Chicago Tribune, Selling Power, Radio INK, Inside Radio and Media Post.

She also regularly presents workplace topics to associations nationwide, including Broadcast Education Association, Chicago Advertising Federation, National Association of Broadcasters, Broadcast & Financial Managers Assn. and the Radio Advertising Bureau in addition to various private organizations.

Laurie has received a 2008 Top 50 Most Influential Women in Radio, 1997 Recognition Award from the Center for Urban Business, Outstanding Salesperson of the Year Award from Torbet Radio, Outstanding Radio Salesperson from American Women in Radio & TV and First Place Marketing Company from the National Association of Staffing Services.

Patty Kincaid 2008 Patty Kincaid,  Director of New Business Development

Patty Kincaid is the Director, New Business Development for Media Staffing Network and is located in the Phoenix office. Patty joined the company in 1997. Patty is responsible for new business development and fulfillment of full-time positions.

Patty has worked in the media business for 20 years. Her background includes being an Owner/President of Media Matters, a Scottsdale, Arizona based consulting firm specializing in radio, television and cable sales and management training in U.S. and Great Britain, along with sales and management recruiting for the media industry.

Patty has her B.S. in Broadcasting from Arizona State University. In the past, she has been a member of National Association of Female Executives (NAFE), Arizona Chapter, and National Association of Temporary Staffing Services (NATSS).

Kate Glenn,  VP/Senior Resource Manager & HR Director

Kate Glenn is a VP/Senior Resource Manager & HR Director for Media Staffing Network and is located in Michigan. She has been with the company since August of 1996. Kate is responsible for all aspects of the candidate hiring process; she is proficient in employment law including EEO and ERISA guidelines.

Kate previously managed Media Staffing Network's New York office and worked prior to that as an Account Manager for the Chicago office.

Kate has a BA in Liberal Arts from San Diego State University and has pursued postgraduate work in Human Resources and Organizational Development at Northwestern University. She is a member of International Radio & Television Society (IRTS) and American Women in Radio & TV, Inc. (AWRT).

Tim Derr Dawn Tartaglia is a Full Service Media Recruiter for Media Staffing Network and is located in Chicago.  She has been a Media Recruiter since January of 2007.  Dawn is responsible for helping Media Industry clients efficiently hire qualified candidates.
 
Dawn has worked in the advertising industry for 17+ years.  She started her career on the Radio sales side as National Director of Marketing for Metro Traffic, Senior Account Executive for both CBS Radio and Radio Disney. This industry experience allows Dawn to match qualified media professionals with new career opportunities.

Dawn works directly with her clients to help fill different level positions in several media departments from traditional to digital at Advertising Agencies, Media companies and client's In-House Marketing Departments. These positions included but are not limited to; Media Director, Media Supervisor, Research Director, Media Planner, Media Buyer, Account Executive, General Sales Manager, National Sales Manager and Local Sales Manager.
 
Dawn has her BS in Telecommunications and Marketing from Ball State University.  Dawn was a member of American Women in Radio & Television (AWRT) in Chicago for 10+ years and served as President, Vice President, Recording Secretary and Board Member at Large.

Bob Shannon

Bob Shannon is a veteran broadcaster, with major market programming credentials and national and international sales and management experience. The owner of bobshannonworks, a Washington State media consulting company, Shannon was an executive at TM Century, Inc, a Dallas broadcast service company from 1980 to 2000 and recently published his first book,
"Turn It Up: American Radio Tales 1946-1996", a history of American radio.
