MSN:  Please describe your current position.  How long have you been in the position and with the company?

Daniels:  Tenured instructor in the Radio Department, School of Media Arts for 12 years

 

MSN:  What was your first job in media and how did you get it?

Daniels:  My first radio job was morning drive news reporter in Sacramento, CA and I was offered the position as a result of an internship… in the sales department!

 

MSN:  What have been some of the larger challenges you have faced in your career?

Daniels:  Serving as Deputy Press Secretary for a United States Senator from Illinois – almost everything about the position was a challenge.

 

MSN:  What do you like best about your current job?

Daniels:  It’s great preparing the next generation for a career in radio and it’s a challenge to keep up with emerging broadcast technologies.

 

MSN:  When you were starting out your career, what set you apart from other candidates?

Daniels:  You would have to ask the folks who hired me… I know I was considerate, ambitious and curious.

 

MSN:  What advice would you give to someone wanting to get into a similar career?

Daniels:  Be considerate, ambitious and curious.
