Sample Job Profile - Continuity Assistant
The Continuity Assistant in broadcasting is responsible for ensuring that all commercials and programming sold by the sales and programming departments are scheduled to air in accordance to company policies and FCC guidelines.
Listed below are the duties, skills and experience that may be required (but not limited to) for a Continuity Assistant:
Duties
- Ensuring the correct copy/continuity is assigned to each broadcast contract and input into the computer
- Assign production department with production orders
- Reconciling all logs after air to verify air times of commercials
- Back up for Traffic Director
Skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Self-starter, capable of working under pressure
- Ability to work in a face-paced team environment
Experience
- Minimum 2 years experience in sales/marketing; previous broadcast sales experience a plus
- Basic knowledge of MS office products; typing proficiency of 50 wpm accurately
Education
- High school graduate; college preferred
